In design and build contracting, a client enters into a contract with a single contractor who performs both the design work and general contracting of the construction. Before publishing a call for tenders and conducting negotiations with tenderers, the client needs to draw up an initial task for an apartment building. In cooperation with its subsidiary

Design and build contracting by using wooden elements<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n

In the case of element-based reconstruction, design and build contracting is the only possible solution. Building from wooden elements is time-saving, but requires, on the one hand, thoroughly prepared designs in which the cost-effectiveness of solutions have been accounted for, and well-planned solutions on the other hand, which can be manufactured in the controlled conditions of the factory\u2019s production lines.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

In recent years, the government of Estonia and KredEx, a foundation set up by the Ministry of Economic Affairs and Communications with the aim of providing financial solutions, have started to encourage apartment associations to favour reconstruction with wooden elements, which is the most energy efficient and environmentally sustainable way of reconstruction. In addition, the rise of IT solutions and mechanical construction, also led by Balti Vara Ehitus, has fostered the development of the entire construction sector.<\/p>\n\n<\/div><\/div>
